Besides the possibility of direct configuration at any standard PC via USB-Port, the tool enables remote configuration, which allows flexible application and makes it perfect for mobile use in all environments. The FlexProgrammer 9701 includes software that makes it compatible with various communication protocols such as HART or Profibus PA. Easy and intuitive to use, the FP 9701 can be connected to and supplied from a PC’s USB Port and act as a signal converter. Without a PC connection, the FlexProgrammer is operated by rechargeable batteries and – after the parameters initially have been programmed on a PC and stored on the FlexProgrammer – can be used as an independent programming device reading and saving sensor parameters. An integrated display shows configuration details, four push buttons allow scrolling the data and make the FlexProgrammer suitable for remote configuration in the most challenging environments. The software is based on FDT （Field Device Tool） due to which every driver device acts as a Device Type Manager （DTM）.
